History’s Hatfields & McCoys continues blockbusters ratings with 13.1M viewers for night two

Night two of HISTORY’s HATFIELDS & MCCOYS garnered 13.1 million total viewers on Tuesday, May 30 from 9-11:05 p.m. The hit, scripted three-night event, whose finale is tonight at 9pm ET/8c, continued its ratings dominance with 4.7 million Adults 18-49, 5.8 million Adults 25-54, 2.5 million Males 18-49 and 3.2 million Males 25-54.

Among total viewers, Part 1 & Part 2 now rank as the #1 and #2 entertainment telecasts of all time in ad-supported cable. In Adults 25-54 and Men 25-54, part 2 retained 100% delivery from night one.

The Weather Channel orders full season of Iron Men

The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) announced today it has ordered a full season of “Iron Men,” a docu-series profiling the iron workers who spend their days battling weather conditions hundreds of feet above New York City to build skyscrapers, bridges, arenas and other major structures. In addition to the four episodes currently airing, nine new episodes have been ordered that will premiere later this year. New episodes will take place at the 4 World Trade Center site inaddition to the Barclays Center, the new home of the Brooklyn Nets, and theAlexander Hamilton Bridge (note: watch construction progress at 4 WTC via TWC’s exclusive live webcam at www.weather.com/IronMen). “Iron Men” is produced by Pipeline39 (formerly known as KPI), the producers of “The Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero,” “MonsterQuest” and “MegaStructures.”

2013 NFL Pro Bowl to be played in Hawaii Sunday, January 27 on NBC

The 2013 Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii for the 33rd time, the NFL and NFL Players Association announced today. The game will be televised live on Sunday, January 27 on NBC at 7 PM ET and again serve as the signature event to kick off the week leading up to the Super Bowl. CBS will televise Super Bowl XLVII a week later on Sunday, February 3 from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

History’s Hatfields & McCoys becomes #1 non-sports telecast in ad supported cable history with over 13.9M viewers

The debut of the HISTORY’s HATFIELDS & MCCOYS, which premiered on Memorial Day and continues tonight and Wednesday (9-11pm ET/10c) becomes the #1 non-sports telecast in ad supported cable television history, with over 13.9 million total viewers, 5.8 million adults 25-54 and 4.8 million Adults 18-49 (based on Nielsen’s fast cable ratings). Over 17 million people watched both the premiere and encore telecast last night.

HBO announces Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins

HBO Sports, NFL Films and the Miami Dolphins team up for an all-access look at what it takes to make it in the National Football League when HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP WITH THE MIAMI DOLPHINS debuts in August. The first sports-based reality series – and one of the fastest-turnaround reality series – kicks off its five-episode seventh season, presented in HD, TUESDAY, AUG. 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Other hour-long episodes debut subsequent Tuesdays at the same time, with an encore play every Wednesday in August at 11:00 p.m., culminating in the Sept. 4 season finale.

Anthony Bourdain joins CNN/CNNI to host new weekend program in early 2013

World-renowned chef, bestselling author and Emmy winning television personality Anthony Bourdain will join CNN as host of a new weekend program, creating a signature showcase for the network’s coverage of food and travel. The announcement was made by CNN Worldwide Executive Vice President and Managing Editor, Mark Whitaker.

“For more than a decade, Anthony Bourdain has been a trailblazer in educating Americans about different cuisines and cultures around the world, as well as an outspoken commentator on social trends ranging from the rise of celebrity chefs to the impact of fast food chains to the spread of vegetarianism and veganism.” said Whitaker. “Examining the world through the prism of Tony’s unique expertise and passions continues CNN’s long-standing commitment to international reporting and to promoting global understanding.”

Continuum premieres to first-place 900,000 viewers on Showcase

The numbers are in and the future looks bright for Continuum. The wildly anticipated debut of the Showcase original series smashed the competition, reaching 1.7 million* Canadians throughout its two airings on Sunday night. The premiere episode garnered a viewership** of 900,000 (2+) and 427,000 (A25-54) in its 9 pm timeslot, becoming the highest single episode ever on Showcase.
