Marvel’s The Avengers adds $18.9M domestic / $28.4M foreign to cross $700M worldwide in just 13 days

Marvel’s The Avengers added another $18.899M domestic yesterday to reach $226.338M thru just 4 days of domestic release. Adding yesterday’s $28.4M foreign haul and the film has grossed an incredible $475.8M in 13 days of release from foreign box office to bring its worldwide tally past $700M to $702.138M.  Foreign box office alone is more than the worldwide totals of “The Incredible Hulk” ($263.4M), “Captain America: The First Avenger” ($368.6M) and “Thor” ($449.3M) and as I’ve previously noted, The Avengers has grossed more worldwide than all prior Marvel films and more domestically than the aforementioned three (the film will pass both “Iron Man” and “Iron Man” in domestic box office sometime this week).

The Avengers is well on its way past $1B worldwide and domestically could top $500 or even $600M.
