Sony held a press conference in London Thursday morning to confirm that the title for the next Bond movie, previously being referred to as ‘Bond 23′, will be Skyfall (official logo art included above). Director Sam Mendes was in attendance to take part in the announcement, which also confirmed that Javier Bardem will play the villain.
Daniel Craig will also be joined in the film by Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Wishaw, with Bérénice Marlohe and Naomi Harris also in the film.
We also have this brief synopsis:
In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Production on Skyfall began in London on Thursday. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 9, 2012.
