20th Century Fox co-chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tom Rothman was on The Jim Rome Show radio program earlier today and revealed that the next film in the Die Hard franchise will be called A Good Day to Die Hard. Rothman also revealed that the film will begin shooting this January in Russia for a release on February 14, 2013.
Rothman also revealed that the story will revolve around John McClane (Bruce Willis) heading to Moscow, Russia to get his son out of jail, but things aren’t what they appear and a terrorist plot unfolds.
They haven’t decided whether they’ll be shooting the film for a PG-13 or a R rating and we don’t know who the director will be.
The last “Die Hard” movie, “Live Free or Die Hard” was released in 2007 and grossed a franchise-best $383.5M worldwide.
