Deadline is reporting that Marvel Studios “is getting close” to naming a director for Thor 2 and one person they are considering may come as a surprise: “Monster” director Patty Jenkins.
Jenkins also directed the pilot for the AMC original series “The Killing”. Thor 2 has a July 26, 2013 release date. Kenneth Branagh directed the original film which grossed $449M this past summer. Thor co-writer Don Payne is writing the script for the sequel.
