Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 crosses $1B worldwide

With domestic and international box office still strong, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 became the top-grossing film in the franchise this weekend and the ninth film overall to reach more than $1B in worldwide box office.

The film has taken in $318.46M (#26 all-time domestic) and $690M (#6 all time foreign) from foreign markets for $1.0085B worldwide. ‘Deathly Hallows Part 2′ is now the eighth top-grossing film of all time, temporarily settled between “Alice in Wonderland” ($1.0243B) and “The Dark Knight” ($1.0019B).
