Marvel Studios has hired Don Payne to write the sequel to Thor. Payne was a credited writer on the first film and was one of the writers of “Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer”. As previously reported, Disney set a July 26, 2013 release date for the sequel, but Kenneth Branagh will not be returning to direct.
Thor has grossed more than $437M in worldwide box office (est. $437.1M as of June 30).
