Keith Olbermann beats CNN in Current TV debut

Keith Olbermann couldn’t quite top his former network with the premiere of Countdown With Keith Olbermann on Current TV, but the series did debut with a solid 179,000 A25-54 demo viewers. That was twice the audience of time-slot competitor “In the Arena” (with Elliot Spitzer) on CNN which drew just 89,000 demo viewers, but a tad below Lawrence O’Donnell’s show on MSNBC (“The Last Word” — 237,000 A25-54). Fox News, as per usual, dominated the hour courtesy Bill O’Reilly who drew 735,000 demo viewers for “The O’Reilly Factor”.

Keith, on August 22nd you showed and read a report on TV shortening viewers’ lives. It included statements that claimed that watching 6-hrs a day would take 5 years off a life but watching only 2 hrs a day would take of 7 years. This doesn’t make any sense. Watching less takes more years off???
