With the confirmed release dates for Peter Jackson’s two-part ‘Hobbit’ project set, other movies are being adjusted. The first is Ang Lee’s adaptation of Yann Martel’s novel Life of Pi. The film was originally scheduled to be released on December 14, 2012, but will be shifted to December 21, 2012–a week after The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Other release date changes include Weinstein Company’s Apollo 18 (now September 2, 2011–shifting from August 26) and Sony’s Elysium (now March 1, 2013–shifting from March 8, 2013).
