An offer has been out to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides director Rob Marshall to direct a fifth ‘Pirates’ movie for some time now, but he’s been noncommital. Because of that, Cinema Blend reports that Disney has begun considering other alternatives should Marshall decline.
The directors Cinema Blend mentions are Shawn Levy, Sam Raimi, Chris Weitz, Alfonso Cuaron and Tim Burton.
