Two high-profile projects are now without their directors. First up, Variety reports that David O. Russell is no longer attached to direct an adaptation of the Sony video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune”, which he was also set to write, over creative differences with the studio. Sony will now move on to finding a new director and writer.
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Albert Hughes has left Warner Bros’ live action Akira remake. Despite the loss, WB is still keeping the film on the fast track and hopes to find a new director soon.
