Showtime renews Nurse Jackie for fourth season, but cancels United States of Tara

Showtime has renewed Nurse Jackie for a fourth season, but is bringing United States of Tara to an end after three seasons.

Nurse Jackie has averaged 762,000 viewers a week this season in its Monday night timeslot (with 2.8M total weekly viewers). United States of Tara has been considerably weaker with just 326,000 viewers a week in its Monday night timeslot (with a weekly total viewership of 1.9M).

    With Sling Technology from DISH Network, I’ll never
    miss any episodes of The United States of Tara. I’ve been a fan since the first
    episode. I never miss any episodes because I can use my iPhone to watch shows
    on my lunch break at work. Being that I am a customer and employee of DISH I
    can’t recommend the TV Everywhere feature enough to anyone who likes TV on the
