In an interview with Warner Brothers, LA Times reports that executive Jeff Robinov wants to make a Justice League movie for release in 2013:
His most immediate hurdle is filling the void that will be left this summer when the multibillion-dollar “Harry Potter” series shepherded by Horn ends. Robinov is betting on DC Comics characters to take center stage starting in June with the $200-million-plus production “Green Lantern.”
He’s then aiming to release new “Batman” and “Superman” films in 2012 and “Justice League,” a teaming of DC’s top heroes, in 2013.
Considering the film would be released just a year after new Superman and Batman projects, it would seem likely they would connected in some way. Not true, says Superman: The Man of Steel director Zack Snyder who told Hey U Guys that the project will exist seperately from his film and Christopher Nolan’s Batman films:
‘It doesn’t. Like what Chris Nolan is doing and what I’m doing with Superman, what they’ll do with Justice League will be it’s own thing with it’s own Batman and own Superman. We’ll be over here with our movie and they kinda get to do it twice which is kinda cool’.
