Deadline is reporting that Paul Giamatti has joined the cast of Adam Shankman’s musical Rock of Ages. The site reports that Giamatti will play the manager of Stacee Jaxx (Tom Cruise).
In related casting news, Deadline says that Shankman has offered Amy Adams the role of girlfriend to Cruise’s character, a role that originally went out to Anne Hatheway (who couldn’t sign due to her part as Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises”).
Rock of Ages is scheduled to hit theaters on June 1, 2012.
