Warner Brothers TV fires Charlie Sheen; Two and a Half Men future uncertain

Warner Brothers TV has fired Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen, putting the future of television’s highest-rated comedy in doubt. Here’s the statement from Warner Brothers TV:

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.”

And here’s a statement release from Sheen [via TMZ]:

“This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

According to the 11-page termination letter obtained by TMZ, WB TV terminated their contract with Sheen “because he committed a felony involving ‘moral turpitude.”
