Amazon has begun offering pre-orders for The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Extended Edition + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (click to pre-order). Although the Theatrical cuts for the trilogy have already been released on Blu-ray, this would mark the first time the extended editions will be available on the format.
The disclaimer at the bottom of the page notes a 2011 or 2012 release date, so nothing is set in stone yet. The MSRP is listed at $119.98 with an Amazon.com sale price of $83.99. Click here to pre-order.
