Kevin Smith’s independently financed satirical horror film Red State grossed $161,590 from a single show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. indieWIRE reports that roughly 3,800 seats were filled at the 6,000-seat complex, but the gross was inflated due to ticket prices ranging from $54 to over $100. Still though, the opening technically gives the film the 10th best best per-theater average of all-time.
