Lucasfilm Ltd. and 20th Century Fox announced today that the 3D theatrical release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace has been given a release date. The film will be released into 3D theaters on February 10, 2012.
As previously announced, ‘The Phantom Menace’ will be the first film to be re-released in 3D. Subsequent installments of the six-film franchise are expected to follow in consecutive years thereafter.
