February 10, 2011, New York, NY – HISTORY today announced that the U.S. version of Top Gear, was given the Green Light for season 2. The critically-acclaimed and popular series attracted the youngest viewers of any series on HISTORY ever. Overall nearly 60 million tuned in to Season 1.
Season 2 of Top Gear on HISTORY, based on the award-winning BBC series, will begin production this spring. Top Gear is a co-production between HISTORY and BBC Worldwide.
The series is hosted by comedian Adam Ferrara, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood. John Hesling is Executive Producer. Russ McCarroll is Executive Producer for HISTORY.
