ABC picks up Charlie’s Angels pilot + Wonder Woman pilot passed over?

THR is reporting that ABC has picked up a one-hour pilot for a modern take on the classic 70’s TV series Charlie’s Angels. The script was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville”) and the duo are executive producing with Leonard Goldberg, Drew Barrymore (star of the 2000 and 2003 big-screen versions) and Nancy Juvonen.

In other development news, David E. Kelley’s pilot for Wonder Woman was recently passed over by the networks:

The TV reboot of Wonder Woman is being postponed. David E. Kelley’s high-profile take on the female superhero has been shelved after not landing a deal at a broadcast network because of what sources called unfortunate timing.

No word what happens next, but one would suspect Kelley and Warner Brothers will next look to cable networks, or simply just try their hand again in the near future.
