Despite rumors to the contrary, Warner Brothers has confirmed that Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch will not be in 3D. When first announced there were rumors that the film would be converted from 2D to 3D in post-production, but that idea was nixed by the director and studio and the project will remain in 2D according to Warner Brothers [via Bad Ass Digital]:
Today a rumor ran around the internet today that Sucker Punch, the next film from Zack Snyder, would be in 3D. Nope. Sucker Punch was always intended to be, and always will be, a 2D film.
Sucker Punch is scheduled to hit theaters on March 25, 2011.
