Fox pulls Running Wilde from schedule

Next step…cancellation?

The Futon Critic is reporting that Fox has pulled the low-rated freshman comedy Running Wilde from its schedule. The episodes scheduled to air on December 19, December 26 will be replaced with repeats of The Simpsons and The Cleveland Show, while an extra hour of Glee (repeat) will sub for the show in the 9PM hour on December 28.

Repeats of “The Simpsons” and “The Cleveland Show” will sub in for the series on December 19 and December 26, respectively, while an extra hour of “Glee” will fill the Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c hour on December 28.

Five original episodes remain, and although a date hasn’t been set, the network says they will be aired at some point in the future.

Running Wilde was one of just three new show’s Fox premiered this past fall — along with “Lone Star” and “Raising Hope”– and has averaged a very weak 3.789M viewers, 1.6/4 A18-49 rating/share and a 2.3/4 HH rating/share in 10 airings (including last night’s Sunday debut which scored series-lows of 3.54M viewers, a 1.2/3 A18-49 rating/share and a 2.0/3 HH rating/share).
