Kristin Davis has joined the cast of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Davis will co-star opposite Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine and Josh Hutcherson in the sequel. Davis will play the mother to Hutcherson’s character and a love interest to Dwayne Johnson.
Davis has also received a script commitment from NBC for The Happiness Project:
Sex and the City co-star Kristin Davis is returning to series television with a new single-camera comedy. Davis is set to star and co-executive produce NBC’s The Happiness Project, a comedy based on Gretchen Rubin’s best-selling memoir, which writer Kristin Newman (Chuck, How I Met Your Mother) is in negotiations to write and executive produce.
Rubin’s memoir chronicles the New York-based writer’s account of the year she spent test-driving studies and theories about how to be happier. It also spawned a popular blog whose fans included Davis, which is how the actress got involved in the TV project. NBC’s The Happiness Project, whose protagonist played by Davis will also be on a year-long quest to become happier…
