Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino has been a fixture at Disney/Pixar and has provided his talents for several J.J. Abrams projects — both Television and Film — so it probably won’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Giacchino will compose the scores to Cars 2, Super 8, Mission: Impossible IV and John Carter of Mars. It may not be all that surprising given his past work, but it’s certainly impressive.
