Natalie Portman won’t star in Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity, citing scheduling conflicts. However, the studio has moved on to Sandra Bullock, who is now in negotiations for the lead role:

The pic currently stars Robert Downey Jr. and revolves around two astronauts fighting to survive on a remote space station after satellite debris wipes out the rest of the crew. The remainder of the film follows the heroine trying to make it back home to her daughter. Cuarón and his son Jonas penned the script.
