FX premieres the new drama series Terriers tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. FX was kind enough to send along the first five episodes of the 13-episode season and I must admit, I’m really digging it. It has a little lighter tone than your standard FX drama series (i.e. “Sons of Anarchy”, “Justified”), but it stands its ground well. There’s nothing truly unique about it, but it works well thanks in large part to strong chemistry between the two stars Donal Logue (who plays Hank Dolworth) and Michael Raymond-James (who plays Britt Pollack).
The series co-stars Laura Allen as Britt’s girlfriend Katie Nichols, Kimberly Quinn as Hank’s ex-wife Gretchen Dolworth and Rockmond Dunbar as Hank’s former police partner Detective Mark Gustafson.
Terriers is definitely worth a look, so check it out tonight on FX at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT followed by original episodes every week at the same night and time.

“Pilot” (September 8, 2010, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) — A favor for an old drinking buddy leads Hank and Britt, small time private eyes, down a rabbit-hole of corruption in deceptively sunny Ocean Beach, California.
“Dog and Pony” (September 15, 2010, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) — Desperate for quick cash, Hank and Britt set out to capture escaped convict Mongo for a big chunk of reward money.
“Change Partners” (September 22, 2010, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) — In order to secure a loan, Hank must prove that the bank manager’s wife is cheating on him but what he discovers is much kinkier than infidelity.
“Fustercluck” (September 29, 2010, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) — Robert Lindus is back with an unusual request from jail: he wants Hank and Britt to steal a quarter of a million dollars from him.
“Manifest Destiny” (October 6, 2010, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) — Hank and Britt deal with the widening scope of the Lindus conspiracy as they try to avoid the rap for a murder they (technically) didn’t commit.
