Fangoria has confirmed that AMC will renew Frank Darabont’s upcoming zombie horror series The Walking Dead for a second season. Filming on the second season will begin in early 2011:
Word from a crew source on the show’s home turf in Atlanta is that THE WALKING DEAD will resume shooting for the follow-up season next February.
The second season is rumored to be expanded to 13 episodes.
The six-episode first season of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday, October 31 at 10:00 p.m.
