This season, the high-rated CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory is making a move from Monday to Thursday nights. Creator Chuck Lorre says that’s something for CBS to be concerned about, not him:
“That’s not my job,” he said. “Nobody asked my opinion. One assumes they’ve given it a lot of thought and it’s a good thing for the show. Given where we are now after three seasons I’d be crazy to argue with the choices CBS has made along the way.”
CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler, meanwhile, is trying to keep expectations low:
“The show has enjoyed an extraordinary amount of support and love,” Tassler said, “we don’t expect the show to do the numbers it did on Monday just yet.”
Considering the show is losing its huge Two and a Half Men lead-in, that’s probably the right way to look at things.
