The season four premiere of AMC’s Mad Men drew a series-high 2.918 million viewers and a 1.9 HH rating. According to AMC, that was an increase of 5% in viewers over the season three premiere which held the previous record (rounded to 2.8 million viewers). The show was up 12% in HH rating from the season premiere prior.
Among adults 18-49, the show scored a 0.9/3 rating/share which was flat from the year prior.
In other cable ratings news, the new Starz series The Pillars of the Earth drew an average of 690,000 viewers and a 0.2 A18-49 rating across its two-network series premiere Friday night on Starz (423,000 / 0.1/1 A18-49) and Encore(267,000 / 0.1/0 on Encore).
