Inception crossed the $100 million mark (est. $100.155M) in domestic box office yesterday, its seventh day of release. The Christopher Nolan-helmed thriller has held up very well over the course of the week with only single digit declines on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (estimate) after posting a very strong $10.185M Monday after its impressive $62.785 million opening.
Inception is now just the fifth film this year to cross the $100M in its first 7 days of release, joining “Toy Story 3” ($167.552M through 7 days / $370.499M cume), “Alice in Wonderland” ($146.625M / $334.191M cume), “Iron Man 2” ($159.16M / $310.402M cume), and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” ($186.95M / $272.641M cume).
