Speaking at the Seoul Digital Forum, Avatar director James Cameron revealed that a release date for Avatar 2 will be announced within a few months.
Cameron also estimated that the sequel will take about 3 years to make, which is 18 months less than it took to make the first. In related news, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that Avatar has sold 19.7 million Blu-ray discs and DVDs worldwide in three weeks. The 6.2 million Blu-ray discs sold are more than double the previous record.
