Box Office Numbers for Monday, April 5, 2010: Clash of the Titans still 1st ($6.4M), but ‘Dragon’ closes gap ($5.3M)

Clash of the Titans took first place, but just barely.  The Louis Leterrier-directed 3D remake was down 53.7% on Monday to $6.393 million($70.283M cume), narrowly beating How to Train Your Dragon which fell just 23.4% from Sunday to $5.286M (97.422M cume). If that discrepancy in audience loss continues, ‘Dragon’ has a shot at taking the top spot before the weekend, although probably not until later in the week (perhaps Wednesday or Thursday).

Rounding out the top five were Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too? ($2.963M / $32.253M cume),  The Last Song ($2.338M / $27.733M cume) and Alice in Wonderland ($1.232M / $310.966M cume). Click over the jump for the daily chart.
