Box Office Numbers for Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Alice in Wonderland held firm on top the charts Tuesday, grossing another $6.011 million, down only slightly from Monday. Total domestic cume now stands at $221.404 million. Green Zone ($1.276M / $16.817M cume), She’s Out of My League ($1.173M / $12.089M cume), Shutter Island ($827,367 / $109.637M cume) and Remember Me ($735,640 / $9.489M cume) rounded out the top five.

Alice in Wonderland is Tim Burton’s highest-grossing film since 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ($206.459M) and it will soon supplant 1989’s Batman ($251.189M) as his most successful film ever (unadjusted for inflation). Head on over the jump to see the complete daily chart.
