Thursday Box Office (March 11, 2010)

Alice in Wonderland was basically flat on its first Thursday, down 1/10 of a percent to $6.767 million and pushing its 7-day domestic cume to $146.625 million. The Tim Burton-directed film will cross $150M sometime today and will be at around $197-205 million by the end of the weekend.

With regards to the other films, Shutter Island crept back up above $1M, grossing $1.034 million yesterday and putting it just shy of $100M domestic ($99.867M cume).  Meanwhile, Avatar increased about 6% from Wednesday ($789,785 / $723.744M cume) to take third place from Brooklyn’s Finest which fell to fourth place with $786,771 ($17.061M cume). Cop Out rounded out the top five with $652,271 ($35.213M cume).  Head on over the jump for the daily chart.
