John Cho says third Harold & Kumar could start shooting this summer

In an interview with Collider, John Cho provided an update on the status A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.  You may remember that Paramount announced set a November 5, 2010 release date for it last May. According to Cho (who played Harold in the two previous films), he believes A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas is still on track for that release date and expects to begin shooting this summer.

Cho says that the script has been completed and turned into the studio and that the film will take place a few years after the second movie, telling Collider that Harold and Kumar are no longer living together.  A director hasn’t been selected yet, but they’re meeting with several right now.  Cho also said that Neil Patrick Harris will be in the third film.

Cho also talked about the Star Trek sequel but admitted he doesn’t know much about it yet.  You can watch Collider’s interview with Cho at this link.  And don’t forget to catch Cho on his ABC series FlashForward, which returns with new episodes next Thursday, March 18th at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
