FX has picked up the half-hour animated spy comedy Archer for a second season of 13 episodes. Seven episodes of the show have aired thus far and have averaged 1.2 million viewers. That’s the highest viewer delivery of any first-season FX comedy series with the exception of The League (which also has recieved a second season renewal):
“We’re very happy with the audience response and critical acclaim for ‘Archer’ and are excited to move forward with it,” said exec VP of original programming Nick Grad.
In related news, FX announced that the series premiere of Louie, from executive producer Louis C.K., has been moved to June 1st and will be paired with the drama Rescue Me.
