Cable TV Ratings: Caprica Slide Continues; Spartacus Up Again + more

Bad news for Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica.  Week three of the series drew just 1.13 million viewers and a 0.4 A18-49 rating.  That was down a steep 20% from last week’s episode (1.41M viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating).  Caprica is down 29% from its series premiere (1.60 million viewers).

Also on Friday, the new Starz! series Spartacus: Blood and Sand increased in its third week to 858,000 viewers (+11%) and a 0.4 A18-49 rating (n/c).  The show is up 30% in viewers and 33% in A18-49 rating since its premiere (659,000 viewers and a 0.3 A18-49 rating).

Ratings for a few other cable shows on Friday night worth noting include Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network which drew 2.195 million viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating and Discovery’s Swamp Loggers which drew 1.49 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49 rating.  More ratings highlights after the jump.

On Thursday night, TNA: Impact on Spike continues to see a slight increase in viewership, drawing 1.56 million viewers and a 0.6 A18-49 rating, while an episode of American Chopper on TLC (which has turned out to become the penultimate episode of the series) drew 1.08 million viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating. USA Network’s Burn Notice was a little weaker than usual, but still held the top spot in cable on Thursday with 4.25 million viewers and a 1.7 A18-49 rating.

On Wednesday, TNT’s Leverage drew 2.91 million viewers and a 0.9 A18-49 rating, while Psych on USA Network drew 2.86 million viewers and a 1.1 A18-49 rating.  Ghost Hunters International on Syfy drew 1.66 million viewers and a 0.7 A18-49.

On Tuesday, it’ll be interesting to see if Southland (1.21M and a 0.3 A18-49 rating) shows improvement on TNT when the network finishes running the previously aired NBC episodes.

On Monday night, WWE Raw held its own as usual, drawing big audiences at 9PM (5.01M and a 1.7 A18-49 rating) and 10PM (5.56M and a 2.1 A18-49 rating).  Over on History, a double-dose of Pawn Stars at 10PM (3.85M and a 1.5 A18-49 rating) and at 10:30PM (4.12M viewers and a 1.6 A18-49 rating) drew strong numbers.

Leverage is on TNT and is up against USA’s Psych.

That’s correct and I’ve fixed the mistake. Thanks for spotting that, Karen.
