Monday Box Office (Jan. 25, 2010)

With its Monday take of $2.701 million, Avatar moves to $598.453 million domestically and is now within just $2.335 million of Titanic‘s domestic all-time record of $600.788 million.  Avatar will become the new all-time domestic record holder sometime tonight.  Overseas the film is at $1.447 billion for a worldwide cume of $2.045 billion.

Last week I said that I felt $700M domestic was a lock and that prediction still holds today, especially when factoring in today’s Academy Award nominations where the film was nominated for 9 Oscars. Head on over the jump for the daily chart.
