Sundance 2010: Lionsgate Acquires Buried for $3.2M

The first big sale of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival goes to Lionsgate.  The studio bought the North American distribution rights to the $3-million claustrophobic thriller Buried, which stars Ryan Reynolds and was directed by Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes.

The rights cost them $3.2 million, although including marketing commitments, Lionsgate’s overall deal could reach $10 million.
