Emir Kusturica has revealed that he will begin shooting his next film, the life of Mexican revolutionary figure, Pancho Villa, on February 15, 2011. The film, called Wild Roses, Tender Roses, stars Johnny Depp and Salma Hayek. Kusturica says he’ll be shooting in Spain and at his studio in Kustendorf, the village he built in Serbia:
“This is going to be my biggest movie. I will be doing it without compromise,” Kusturica said.
Last month it was reported that Depp was in talks to take on the role, although at the time the film was known as Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers.
