Production Weekly is reporting on their Twitter page that Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel The Hobbit will begin production this June. The production schedule will run for 14 months:
Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” is due to begin a 14 month production schedule this June in New Zealand.
The Hobbit: Part 1 is scheduled to be release in December 2011, followed by The Hobbit: Part 2 in December 2012. The films will be produced by The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.
