With her DGA award last night for Outstanding Direction of a Feature Film, The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow has become the first woman to win the award and now makes The Hurt Locker the favorite for this year’s Academy Awards. NBC has gone ahead and picked up Parks and Recreation for a third season. The show hasn’t done very well this season in the ratings (averaging just a 2.3 A18-49 rating), but its numbers have remained consistent within its 8:30 p.m. time period and it has shown solid retention from its lead-in Community.

MTV has finalized a new deal with the entire cast of Jersey Shore and have renewed the hit reality series for a second season.
