Doctor Who Special Draws Best Rating in BBC America History

The U.S. premiere of the Doctor Who special “The Waters of Mars” on Saturday night drew 1.1 million viewers (over three airings) and set a record in the 25-54 demo with 663,000 viewers.  The special is the first of the three remaining David Tennant episodes, with the remaining two — “The End of Time: Part One” and “The End of Time: Part Two” set to premiere on December 26th and January 2nd, respectively (a day following their U.K. premieres on BBC).  The fifth season of the show will feature a new Doctor, played by Matt Smith.  It’ll premiere in 2010.
