Monday Night Football Draws Cable TV Record 21.8 Million Viewers

Last night’s Monday Night Football telecast on ESPN between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers drew a cable TV record of 21.8 million viewers (a 15.3 HH rating — 15.1 million total households).  The 15.3 rating breaks ESPN’s prior HH rating achieved with its December 6, 1987 presentation of the Minnesota Vikings/Chicago Bears NFL game.  The previous viewer record for a Monday Night Football telecast on ESPN came from the September 15, 2008 telecast between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles (18.6 million viewers).
