With Disney just recently announcing the acquisition of Marvel Entertainment in a $4 billion deal, 20th Century Fox shot back with their announcement that they are looking to reboot one of their major Marvel franchises; Fantastic Four. Upon approval by shareholders at Marvel, Walt Disney Company is purchasing Marvel Entertainment (including Marvel Studios) for $4 billion in cash and stocks. Under the terms of the deal Disney would acquire ownership of 5,000 Marvel characters:

Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, featuring the last performance of the late Heath Ledger, has been given a release date by Sony Pictures Classics — who recently acquired the North American rights to the film. The studio has set the film for release on Christmas Day.

Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet has been pushed back five months. Columbia Pictures has set a December 17, 2010 release for the film, co-written and starring Seth Rogen. However, the delay may not be such a bad thing. At least that’s what Rogen told HitFix:
