This is really something. Sunday’s episode of True Blood hit another series high, drawing an impressive 5.33 million viewers (up 20% from last week’s then-series high 4.46 million viewers).
Even more impressive — given the relatively low penetration level of HBO — is that the show was #3 across all of cable last week.
It’ll be some time before it reaches Sopranos-type numbers, but the trend is certainly headed in that direction. Plus it continues to sell on DVD, with the season one set recently passing 1.3 million units sold, or $45.7 million in sales revenue.
True Blood airs Sunday’s at 10:00 p.m. on HBO.
