Syfy’s Warehouse 13 Becomes Most-Watched Original Series Telecast in Network History (with DVR Viewing) + New Video Clip

warehouse13cast-082509The fifth episode of the recently renewed Syfy series Warehouse 13 drew 4.3 million viewers (when including an additional 985,000 DVR viewers).  That makes the episode the network’s most-watched series telecast in the history of the network. True Blood Hits Another Series High: 5.3 Million Viewers

This is really something.  Sunday’s episode of True Blood hit another series high, drawing an impressive 5.33 million viewers (up 20% from last week’s then-series high 4.46 million viewers).

Even more impressive — given the relatively low penetration level of HBO — is that the show was #3 across all of cable last week.

Columbia Pictures Hires Writers for Sequel to Will Smith’s Hancock

Columbia Pictures has hired writers Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara to write a sequel to the Will Smith superhero movie Hancock.

Second Last Airbender Trailer Expected this Christmas

Producer Frank Marshall revealed on his Twitter account that the second/theatrical trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender is on track to be released by this Christmas:

Avatar Trailer Breaks Record + Videogame trailer

avatar-082509Reaction may have been decidedly mixed towards the highly anticipated debut of the trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar last week, but the launch was a huge success for everyone involved — most especially Apple.com who exclusively hosted the trailer.  According to Apple, the trailer became the most-viewed ever on Apple.com, netting over 4 million streams in its 24 hours and thus shattering the previous record of 1.7 million streams.
