Lifetime has renewed Drop Dead Diva for a third season. The series recently hit a series high of more than 3 million viewers this past Sunday. Lifetime ordered 13 episodes of the series, which stars Brooke Elliott, with plans to air them next year.
” ‘Drop Dead Diva’ is one of those rare gems that has charmed both viewers and critics,” said Lifetime entertainment exec veep JoAnn Alfano. “Brooke is a unique talent who has a wonderful career ahead of her.”
The show has averaged 2.6 million viewers this season.
Drop Dead Diva co-stars and Margaret Cho. It airs Sunday’s at 9:00 p.m. leading into Lifetime’s other hit series Army Wives.
