According to Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal, NFL Owners have voted to extend the broadcasting deal they have in place with NBC for two more years. The owners are in Chicago for a five-hour business meeting.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
With the extension in place, NBC’s rights deals will now expire in 2013, meaning most of the NFL’s TV deals — CBS, Fox, ESPN and now NBC — will expire in 2013.
DirecTV’s NFL deal expires in 2014.
