Summer Finale of Burn Notice Draws Series High 7.6 Million Viewers

USA Network’s Burn Notice continued its hot streak last night with the summer finale drawing a series high 7.59 million viewers.  The show also averaged a very solid 2.1/7 A18-49 rating/share and an equally impressive 1.7/6 A18-34 rating/share.

Jay Chou Cast as Kato in The Green Hornet

Jay Chou has been cast in the role of Kato in Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet.  The actor replaces Stephen Chow who was originally on tap to play the role but bowed out shortly after deciding against directing the project.

Robin Hood Going Futuristic

Warner Brothers and the producers behind The Dark Knight and 300 are working on a futuristic version of Robin Hood.  Atlas Entertainment and Hollywood Gang will produce the untitled project, with commercial director Nicolai Fuglsig — who pitched the project — signed on to direct.

Mission: Impossible 4 Writers Hired

Paramount Pictures and producers Tom Cruise and J.J. Abrams have tapped Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec to write the screenplay to Mission: Impossible IV.  Applebaum and Nemec are the creators of the new ABC series Happy Town and previously created October Road and the recent U.S. version of Life on Mars for ABC.
